This is a cute game and solid for a first one, excited to see you do more!

Thanks a lot, what would you suggest to make it better?

Hard not to be tempted to give it straight 10s.

Random: Title, Preloader, Ending, etc...
So let's begin. I like the title Dad 'n Me, although I'd probably say Dad & Me would just look better, but ok well, at least you were consistant with the 'n theme when you had the preloader go "Loadin'". Also, I think it'd be better if ads and links were at the end of the flash rather than at the beginning at the loading screen. It's just took distracting and out of place at that point. The ending and preloading screens were fine and looked nicely done, enjoyed the font. Also, I loved the little intro video to the actual game. :D
Graphics:
I like the kiddish effect, but it still wasn't smooth at points, and was thus unappealing at times. I'd prefer it looking more crisp. :)
Animation:
The flash flowed very well. Even though it was a game it didn't have animation defects and that is good flash usage right there. ;)
Style:
Well it's original for the most part, except for the whole thing of it reminding me a lot of AH. After all, sidescrolling, plenty of random killing, etc... D:
Sound:
As always, a good choice in using Dustball's audio, he's just so good when it comes to audio. The sound effects were ok for the most part, a bit distracting at points. :D
Violence:
This could have been improved through not just having the enemies disapper. Instead, a dead body in a pool of blood would have added to the gore needed in the violence department. >:D
Interactivity:
Good use of the keyboard arrow keys, but you didn't take full advantage of the aswd keys and limited yourselves to a and s. o_O
Humor:
The whole concept of this was pretty funny, especially the intro and death scene when your HP hits 0. :o
Overall:
I can't wait for this game to hit the shelves as well as more of your future works/games. You've improved a lot over the years (both Dan and Tom). ^_^

Amazing for a mere 15.7 Kb.

That's some awesome file management right there, but you don't have to make the file that small, I wouldn't have minded you sparing that extra space for some sound effects or maybe some mucis. The graphics and artwork were ok, and could stand for a little more improvement. But it was a pretty addictive game and I did like how you worked you point system (# of balls dodged X amount of money collected). That was some nice thinking right there. Although it was annoying when the money appeared right above the score board, you should probably set some boundries for that. Overall it was fun and I hope to play some more of your games in the near future.

Begoner responds:

I'm a terrible artist -- anything beyond simple triangles and squares is too complex for me. I'll try to change the artwork, and I'll change the money appearing above the score. Thanks.

Nice work with this one guys.

I've played some of your other games and must say that this is one of the better ones. Which is good, because it shows that you are improving and aren't slacking. It's always good to see more and more good flash artists. I did end up finding a few glitches here and there, but that is to be expected for a game as complex as this one fitting into a mere 3MB. You did some really nice file management there. Keep up the good work, I can't wait to see another one from you.

Haha, that's great.

A very addicting game indeed. I couldn't find myself stop playing. I had to keep trying over and over again. It was pretty cool too. A nice fresh original concept. Your music choice isn't that bad either, I found myself turning up the volume. You seem to know what you're doing when it comes to making up crazy, random, addicting games so I suggest keeping up the hard work and have fun. =D

Good for an early work.

I did note some things that really hurt the score. You didn't have that good of graphics, you could have added a backround movie or something of the sort. It was a good try for flash, but wasn't all that unique. The sound was good, except the voices which were bad, but the music was nice. You probably should have shrunken those arrows, far too big. Overall it was fun, but not addicting, and games are better when they are addicting. But good for an earlier work none the less. Keep up the nice work. =D

I'm reviewing all your games here.

I find these games very addicting and fun to play. You took a concept, DDR, and decided to make it more original, challenging, and fun with your own little twist. I really think that's cool. Your games have gotten better, adding options and such, and the music quality is also increasing rather well. I like your addition of Japanese kanji and katakana, really gives the game more of a DDR feel. Although sometimes it seems you throw a random note in there that really doesn't match the music itself, it's still ok. You should really make more of these. And the riceball is pretty neat. =D

Such a fun concept.

As always these games tend to start off slow, but as it goes on it starts to get somewhat challenging and a lot more fun. So all is well with that. You could have definately done better with your artwork thoughout the game, and the sound was somewhat bland. But it was still an addicting and fun game none the less. =D

Wow, that was really good!

I remember playing this game as a board game a long time ago, and it was really addicting. And you made the game into quite a wonderful piece of NG gold. Your drawings were very good. And your 3-D effects were great as well. Well I must say that your sounds and music were also very entertaining and kept me hooked. It was very playable due to your in-depth tutorial, you helped me re-learn the game. Very unique style you added your own uniqueness into this game. Even with the absence of violence and humor it is still one of the best games out on NG. I can't wait to see what you have in store for us all next!

Surprising addictive.

This game is very simple, yet also very strategic. You could perhaps add some backround music to it so it wouldn't be as quiet. You could add some more backrounds. But overall it is a great game that I really enjoyed playing. And also may I suggest some more difficult AI? Your expert AI still lost to me and I had over twice as many territories and lands. It's just not fun if it isn't a challenge. I hope to see more from you in the future.
